Tokyo Japan

Tokyo Japan has been an exiting place to be.  We feel really safe here.  As we have been here we have noticed several things right away.  We haven't seen very many obese people.  We haven't seen very much fast food restaurants.  We haven't seen many police men.  And a lot of people walk or ride bikes.

I am staying at the Shinagawa Prince hotel.  It has been nice.  The room is small but very cozy.  I have a king size bed, but it is like a 5 inch mat.  The bathroom has a multipurpose Toliet.  It has a bodey built inside of it.  You have a sanitary bag, so your not suppose to flush the toliet paper down the toliet.
The bed that never got slept in :)

This is a picture of a small Buddhist Temple

The city is huge.  There are buildings as far as I can see. By the subways, there are thousands of people.  almost all of the men wear white shirts and a tie with a briefcase.

They had these vending machines on every corner

They have restaurants like this one all over the city

Tonight we ate at a small resturant under the subway.  It was good ramen chicken.  Do you like the egg?

Me at the Restaurant (and looking very happy to be there:)

The temple was wonderful.  We trained the staff and worked there most of the time.  It was amazing inside.  I am glad we made time to do a session.

We leave tomorrow.  We have had some problems with the system so we have been working closely with Salt Lake.  In fact, since I have left on the airplane, I have only gotten 11 hours of sleep in 4 days.  I am ready to go to sleep.

Plane ride

The plane ride went a lot better then the ride back last time.  I was able to get a two row seat by myself.  And since it is a direct flight, I didn't have to worry about losing my extra seat. The plane it self was also nice because they all had their own individual TV Screens.  So you could watch what you wanted, when you wanted to. I watched a couple of movies, some documentaries, and listen to some music. It was the first time I watched Sherlock Holmes (Good Show).  I also read the Book of Mormon part of the time.  It was neat to really read the book and have time to think about what I actually read.  It really comes alive when you do that.
The flight was 11 hours long so we were ready to get off the plane when it landed. This time I was able to see part of Japan from the Air.  It was neat to see all the country farms along the coast and canals. In fact, most of the farmers were burning their crops when we were flying over.  It was quite the site to see. It was very humid when we got off.  Thanks to Amy, I was prepared for the humid 90 degree weather.  We finally made it through customs and was on a 1 hour bus ride to our hotel, it was a 40 dollar bus ticket(everything is so expensive over here). On the bus ride I was trying to stay awake as long as I could to adjust my schedule, which my body didn't agree with last night, so I talked to the person sitting next to me. She was a doctor from Sydney Australia going for a 2 week tour of Japan.  We had some interesting conversations about other countries she has lived in.

Last night, or this morning, I didn't sleep to well.  It was the longest night because I was so tired and was trying to sleep but my body thought it was in the middle of the day asking me "why are you sleeping lazy head"?  It was a long night, it seamed like it lasted forever.  My mind was racing with work issues so I couldn't sleep all night.  I ended getting up at 5 am which is 2 pm home time. Now I understand the mind racing thing Amy. I woke up, did some yoga and am now waiting to talk to the best family in the World in 9 minutes.  :)
